Oud Essentiel perfume was launched by Guerlain in 2017.

It is a woody and leather fragrance for men and women.

Oud Essence, meaning the perfect or original oud, is the third fragrance in Guerlain's Orient'd Absolus Les Orientales collection, designed to satisfy the tastes and demands of the Middle Eastern audience.

It started with Royal Santal in 2014 and was followed by Eternel Ambre in 2016.

Oud Essence was created by Guerlain perfumer Thierry Wasser, who was inspired by the unique and precious oud wood. The fragrance is a majestic celebration of this rare ingredient, revealing its true power and sensual effect.

Thierry Wasser describes the fragrance as luxurious, seductive and charismatic, combining delicacy, joy and intensity, and also bringing together East and West.

Oud Essence is composed of a leather scent represented by saffron and a leather note with flowers, namely Bulgarian rose and pelargonium, also called pink geranium, with oud wood, cedar, and guaiac, in addition to the mysterious oriental atmosphere of frankincense.
